The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art and the Brownsville Public Utilities Board invite all artists 18 years or older to submit artwork for the 6th Annual Resaca Art Exhibition. This exhibition aims to raise awareness of the environmental and ecological impact, flora, and fauna of resacas, and their unique natural beauty. The works in this exhibition must be inspired by resacas from the Rio Grande Valley, reflecting the diverse aspects of these ecosystems. The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art reserves the right to reject any work that does not match the theme.
All media are accepted, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media, digital art, installations, and fiber art. Original artwork may be for sale. Cash prizes of $150 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd place will be awarded. Artists may exhibit two (2) artworks for a submission fee of $25.

El Museo de Arte de Brownsville y la Junta de Servicios Públicos de Brownsville invitan a todos los artistas de 18 años o más a presentar obras de arte para la 6ª Exposición de Arte de la Resaca. Esta exhibición tiene como objetivo crear conciencia sobre el impacto ambiental y ecológico, la flora y fauna de las resacas, y su belleza natural única. Las obras en esta exhibición deben estar inspiradas en las resacas del Valle del Río Grande, reflejando los diversos aspectos de estos ecosistemas. El Museo de Arte de Brownsville se reserva el derecho de rechazar cualquier obra que no coincida con el tema.
Se aceptan todos los medios, incluidos pintura, dibujo, escultura, fotografía, grabado, cerámica, medios mixtos, arte digital, instalaciones y arte textil. Las obras de arte originales pueden estar a la venta. Se otorgarán premios en efectivo de $150 para el primer lugar, $100 para el segundo lugar y $50 para el tercer lugar. Los artistas pueden exhibir dos (2) obras de arte por una tarifa de inscripción de $25.
